Winona Health welcomes Betsy Midthun as its new chief communications officer.

As chief communications officer, Midthun will be responsible for guiding Winona Health's strategic planning process and developing the overall marketing, public relations and communications plans and strategies for the organization.

"Betsy's healthcare and leadership background make her a great fit for Winona Health," said Rachelle Schultz, Winona Health president/CEO. "She's met and worked with many community members through her position with the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, and she's looking forward delving into her new role and having a positive impact on our organization's mission to meet the communities' healthcare needs."

Most recently, Midthun served as executive director of the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Prior to moving to the area, she was the director of marketing and public relations at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota. She brings nearly 12 years of healthcare communications management experience to Winona Health.
