In honor of National Social Work Month, Winona Health recognizes its team of social workers and their dedication to meeting Winona Health's mission: to improve the health and well-being of our family, friends and neighbors.

Social workers serve as a resource for a wide variety of services. They provide information about and referral to community services, conduct assessments and offer assistance with financial resources, and provide emotional support not only to patients and residents, but also to their families. In addition, all Winona Health social workers are certified Advanced Directive counselors.

Winona Health's seven social workers are part of a team that serves with compassion, dignity and respect. They provide services to hospital patients, clinic patients, dialysis patients, home care and hospice patients, and to residents of Lake Winona Manor.
